Established by Mike Stacey in 1967, Stacey Construction, based in Wiveliscombe, Somerset, has become a major player in the industry and, over the years, has developed long-term relationships with many clients, including Gerber Foods, Roadchef, Esso, and Moto Hospitality (formerly Granada). The Company is organised into three divisions, Main Contracting, Forecourts, and Small Works, which cover many varied forms of construction throughout the UK. They are supported by a highly skilled, fully equipped, in-house joinery workshop that manufactures and installs doors, windows, skirting, architraves etc for a wide range of different projects, and also operates on a stand-alone basis, accepting orders direct from outside. All three divisions are currently very busy, with orders increasing steadily. Existing contracts totalling circa £4.5 million include the conversion of a hotel into 16 apartments in Torquay, various works for Gerber Foods in Bridgwater, alterations/refurbishments at Wiveliscombe Primary School, a small church and hall in Plymouth, industrial units at Bishops Lydeard for Rexquote, alteration and refurbishment of outbuildings to form guest accommodation near Dulverton, and a barn conversion in Stoke St Gregory. |
