STACEY CONSTRUCTIONPRESS RELEASE – AUGUST 2006
From commerce to convalescence, two of Stacey Construction’s most recent projects could not be more different yet they both provide keenly awaited accommodation for their new occupants. The company’s Main Contracting team has been working with the Fire Services Benevolent Fund (FSNBF) on a brand new £2 million therapy unit at Harcombe House, a Grade II listed manor situated in a beautiful location at Chudleigh in Devon, where Fire Service personnel who are sick or injured can recuperate in a relaxing and peaceful environment. The Charity’s new facility, which opened on the 13th June, now provides specialist rehabilitation and therapy care, as well as a range of other treatments including exercise therapy, physiotherapy and reflexology. Run by a dedicated team, this tranquil retreat is already providing valuable therapy care to clients. The
completion of new £750,000 offices at Exton Road for Exeter
City Council has also provided bright and modern accommodation
for staff from the Building and Electrical, Fleet Management,
and Cleansing departments who, for a number of years, have been
working in dilapidated offices and port-a-cabins. The striking
building is of sustainable construction and incorporates many
energy saving features, including special windows and insulation
made of recycled paper. Opened by Ben Bradshaw MP at an official
ceremony on 21 June, the building was named Oakwood House—chosen
in a competition as the most ‘sustainable’ name for
the new offices. With all the other work that is currently underway and more opportunities in the pipeline, Stacey Construction looks poised for a very good year.
