STACEY CONSTRUCTION RECRUITS FOR GROWTH
Early summer saw the arrival of graduates John Lawrey and Diarmad Perry. John is pursuing his career as a quantity surveyor and Diarmad is a trainee contracts manager with the busy Petrol Forecourt division. The team has since been further strengthened with the expertise of Doug Bailey and Martin Hobbs, both very experienced estimators, who joined the company in September. In addition, David Gaynor has replaced David Wooff heading up the Small Works Division. Doug has been working for Skanska for 12 years, primarily in Africa and Hong Kong, (from where he has just returned) as Chief/Managing Estimator building skyscrapers, bridges, dams, hotels etc. He now lives in Wellington with his wife and two children, and is enjoying rekindling his keen interest as a supporter of Southampton football team. Martin
Hobbs, previously employed by Connaught Property Services, has also
now joined the Stacey
team as an estimator working on contracts up to £5m. He is also
married with two children and lives in Exeter where he enjoys participating
in local football. David Gaynor, heading up the Small Works Division, manages contracts worth up to £ ½m . An apprentice who started out 20 years ago, David has a wide range of experience including working for both Midas Construction and ROK, latterly as a site manager on multi-million pound contracts. Married with 4 children he lives near Bristol and is a football referee in the Bristol & Gloucester area in his spare time. Stacey Construction has a highly skilled and committed workforce. Some of the employees have been with the company for a very long time—a few even went to school together! The strong team spirit, developed over the years, is a key factor to maintaining the high standards that the company takes great pride in. With such a high calibre, dedicated team in place, and a healthy order book, Stacey Construction is well positioned for significant growth in business. |
