Wiveliscombe and the Stacey name go back many decades to the time when Mike Stacey captained the 1st XV Rugby Team. In its bid to support the local community the Company has now been the main sponsor of Wiveliscombe Rugby Club for many many years.
Since then, Mike has built up a very successful construction company from a small enterprise to the one that now stands with turnover of approx £20m. The addition of Mike’s son Shaun to the Company back in 1983 undoubtedly created a formidable team with the hard-working duo. It is thanks to this unrepentant team that professionalism and high standards have been core to the Company’s business deriving their success. With a knock-on hard working workforce of approx 150 employees Stacey’s have a lot to be proud of – often completing their projects ahead of schedule and within budget. The future is rosy for Stacey’s and with another new deal, this time set up with Texaco, they have an enviable armoury of clientele, including of course the likes of Esso and Tesco.
Stacey’s are not only about big business however, they also have a flourishing Small Works Division where no contract is too small – from putting in french windows to building house extensions – and you are certainly guaranteed a professional job!
