LOCAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY CHANGES THE FACE OF SUPERMARKETS IN THE SOUTH WEST

STACEY CONSTRUCTION, the nationwide construction company based near Taunton in Somerset has been working closely with Tesco Stores Ltd on projects affecting the whole of the South West.

TESCO have selected Stacey Construction as a preferred contractor to build new Home Shopping (DOT.COM) store extensions throughout numerous counties including Somerset, Devon & Cornwall. Their first so-called “DOT.COM” facility, worth £350,000 has just been completed at Clevedon – it was finished one week ahead of schedule and within budget –thanks to the effort of the site team. The Clevedon site houses a 155 sq m computer controlled chiller and 72 sq m freezer room, where goods will be stored prior to collection by the now infamous Tesco delivery vans!!

So which towns can expect their DOT.COM facility next? Well look out Cornwall, Launceston and also Roborough will see their new facilities being built soon, with work hopefully commencing in April.
Tesco plan to attach DOT.COM facilities to all of their large stores throughout the UK so the face of all our grocery shopping is changing faster than we think with our local Stacey Construction at the forefront of that change.

……and here’s how our new stores will look……
